- Newcomer Training session and details
As the Newcomer tournament date gets closer, so does the official training session for it! This coming Tuesday, May 28th, there will be two training sessions held: one at 19:00 CEST, and one at 19:00 (7:00PM) EDT. These training sessions will be hosted by strong, experienced players and will focus on key points of how to succeed in a 6v6 environment! Additionally, it is a great way to network with other newcomers if you are still looking for a team. But these trainings are not specific to players participating in the Newcomer tournament--anyone can come!
If you want to join these training sessions, simply arrive on Discord at the respective training time and join the Training voice channels.
And make sure to join the Newcomers tournament if you haven't already! Signups are open until Friday, May 31st. For those who cannot participate in the tournament, all games will be streamed, starting at 19:00 on Saturday, June 1st, with the finals played on Sunday, June 2nd!
- Community Challenge
And now let us introduce another contest: Community Challenge! The aim of this tournament is to engage the community and find out which server has what it takes to be crowned the winner! Each participating server community will assemble its champions into one team each to compete on Saturday, June 15th in 6v6 group stage play on the NSL Competitive Mod, culminating in a semifinals and finals match on Sunday, June 16th. These events will be casted and streamed, so all server communities are hereby invited to sign up! The winners shall be crowned Champions of the Communities and receive an official badge from UWE, and the runner ups will get a badge as well. These events will be recurring in the future!
The only restrictions for this event are the participating players should not have played in any NSL NS2 Division 1 team. Exceptions can be made for players who only participated as mercenaries in Division 1 or who played for a very limited time--these petitions must be sent to infamous and Pelargir.
More information to come in a week so stay tuned!
- Regular scheduled events
Since our last and current events are skilled-restricted, we also plan to organize more regular and classic tournaments in the future open to any player, without any restriction. A strict schedule of open tournaments will be organized every two weeks, interspersed with more special events, for the next months is already in shop but will be refined before we publicly announce it. The first in this series of tournaments will be held June 29th-June 30th, two weeks after the Community Challenge event. However, we are open to hosting it a week earlier on June 22nd-June 23rd depending on interest, let us know your thoughts!
