10:30 CST EVERY SUNDAY from 17:30CET / 11:30am EST till open end. Regular Sunday Funday Gather! https://gathers.ensl.org
EDIT: No change in the near future. No ELO at all. Keep it as it is now.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in our first Open Tournament and to our winners: MoreMoralThanPhoen, we hope you enjoyed it. More information to come about our next tournament in a couple of days.
Back to the topic now. We do have the ability, if we want it, to enable vanilla ELO on competitive servers (by "vanilla ELO", we mean the exact ELO system you can currently see on public servers without any adjustment for competitive play). As we believe doing so would bring advantages but also inconveniences, your opinion is required. What do you guys think? Four options that we can think of:
Enable vanilla ELO for any round played on NSL servers, including gathers, scrims and matches.
Enable vanilla ELO for gathers only or/matches only or/scrims only.
We should try to design our own NSL ELO system, disconnected to vanilla ELO and adjusted to our liking. Vanilla ELO will remain disabled, meaning it will not affect your ELO on public servers. Such a system would require programmers skills to make it working on all our competitive servers using our own data and values. We would also need some place to collect all this data. Not sure yet if ensl.org can do it.
No ELO at all. Keep it as it is now.
