I don't know if it is really needed, but it took me not long to make it anyways. This might be a help for team-captains in gathers: It is a form asking you about the Division you play in, if you can com, and your preferred lifeforms. All the data is collected and sorted into a public spreadsheet.

So, if you fill out the form the captains can find the info regarding you in that spreadsheet and can pick based on that, instead of frantically browsing through the - not always so fast - ensl.org.

The form is made such that you can:
* Edit your info later (if you pick up another lifeform, or start comming)
* Send in multiple answers

In theory the latter should not be needed. But I bet there will be people who loose the link, with which they could edit their old info.

EDIT: The Sorting of players alphabetically does not work automatically. I don't know if people, who have no write-access can actually sort their view on the spreadsheet themselves. But, as said, there is still CTRL+F and we can sort it manually every now and then...

The spreadsheet should be sorted by player's name alphabetically. If not, or if it becomes hard to browse you can still use CTRL+F to find the player you are searching for. The division is color-coded for a slightly quicker overview.

Again this could be a help for the people, who play gathers regularly. If people rather like to put a lot of bullshit into that form it will just become useless. As there are currently not people running us over to help with the webpage an interal overview is out of reach. So, we need to rely on a service from the outside, which always gives people the opportunity to spoil things.

Here are the links again:
The Form
The Spreadsheet
Don't forget to save the link, which allows you to edit your info later.

I'm always one for stuff like this, but people can be lazy. What would be great is if that information was linked to each player signed up to the NSL. So if i'm a captain and mouse over one of the players, a box will show up showing their division, if they comm, lerk, fade, etc..Also if they have it set that they are a commander, maybe have it so that beside their flag (or on the other side of their name) it shows the commander icon.

Let players fill an info box every gather they join as they sign up for it. This would be visible the way syknik suggested.

Been suggested many times, but it requires someone with knowledge of Ruby on Rails(coding language of the page) and the time and willingness to make it.

You can sort by right clicking on the coloumn you want to sort by. That way you can sort for divisions as well if you're a captain.

You can also filter stuff with the custom filter button (icon looks like a tiny funnel).

Can you live with the spreadsheet?
