Yo guys,

I wonder if there are good 120hz screens that are a worthy upgrade from Samsung 2233rz or is the LCD technology stagnated.

I was looking at Samsung S23A750D. Here's a review. I'd like to have a glossy display as I like it a lot on my laptop.

I like my glossy Macbook over my matte laptop or desktop display, but I'm not sure if its due to screen quality rather than glossyness. What matters much more though is OS X's font rendering, which is miles ahead of Windows.

Apparently that LG model would be pretty good but its out of market so there aren't even good upgrades unless one wants 1900x1200. I don't know if that is worth it.

So other than Samsung was:
ASUS VG236H
LG W2363D
BenQ XL2410T
Dell alienware AW2310

Don't look at high Hz, look for low input lag LCD. I thought it's obvious in 2012!

Well tbh there's a stark difference between 120hz and 60hz. Yeah I'm looking for a very-low input lag screen, which all these models are claimed to have.

I can probably sell my old 2233RZ for like 110 euros so its not much anyway. I'd like to have glossy, 1920x1050 resolution, good colors for desktop, not for gaming. 2233RZ is enough for gaming.

Okay. I read review of Benq. Basically great gaming performance but the color quality was worse than the Asus.

Here's a good review with 2233RZ.

That's the old benq that had a ton of problems jiriki. I hear the new one that meb has is good. The LG W2363D that literally gay made a thread about before is supposed be as responsive as a crt with almost no ghosting, but it's discontinued so it's hard to find. flatpanelshd has a review and comparison against the asus for it. I hear it's a bit washed out with all the gaming settings on but I think that's pretty standard.

Some guy just gave me a lacie electron blue 22 iv for free and I'm playing at 150hz now.

Yeah thanks. Seems like in gaming performance (ghosting) 2233RZ is still king, LG beats in input lag but I don't play fighter games. I don't really care it for that much but I don't want to downgrade with better monitor either. Stagnation I say!
