I tried to play gather the first time today, and while I tried to join the gather-server, it kicks me out and it says "Invalid Data". Can anybody help me... :/

I got help while playing gather. For anybody who has the same problems:
delete the folder in APPDATA\roaming\natural selection 2 (make a copy before)

I think you can just delete the workshop folder under that path you linked. That way you wont have to recompile shaders and will avoid losing your graphics settings.

I have no idea what causes the problem, the only mods I use are a crosshair replacement I made myself :(.

Having thesame problem lately. I was able to join the server though, after unsubscribing a custom crosshair mod, exiting steam and deleting the NS2 workshop folder. But when I later resubscribed said mod, I again received the invalid data error when trying to join.

some crosshair mods use files that are not needed and blocked by our consistency. simple crosshairs usually work but sometimes dual crosshairs (marine and alien) dont.

edit: the fact that you get kicked is an error with the workshop when it cant disable the mods that are blocked. dunno why, sry :(

the latest build should fix most of these issues. please post here if the problem still occurs!

It should, but the consistency files need a slight adjustment: http://www.ensl.org/topics/781
