Wizards: Thanks for taking to the time put that together. It's not the first time I had the feedback. Will look at how to recraft and relocate the widgets once I get more functionality out the door (like gather archiving and afk votekicks)

The color scheme uses a palette called solarized. It's popular among devs because it is allegedly easy to look at over long periods of time. If it looks bad right now, it may be because I've not applied it properly. I've made some changes

I think there is a bug in relation to being unmuted and the gather music not playing when the gather starts.

Sounds like a bug, I think crazycat mentioned it too.
Which browser are you using?
Also, did the gather music play before it stopped working? At the moment it won't play more than once every 5 minutes to avoid people spamming

Bug: Scroll up in the chat history, click on "load more" and it loads older posts but their timestamp is the same as what used to be there. So if you click "load more" 100 times, posts that are really from days ago show up as "about 3 hours ago". Until you scroll down, then back up. so I imagine it's the listview update that fixes it.

1) Can you add a button to minimize or hide the chat and list of players on the page? In order to stay only a list of maps, players in current gather and teams?

I sorted out why I couldn't authenticate on gather. I used proxy. Disabled proxy and it's working.

Disable the LeaveGather button for people that joined gather less than 60s ago and gather started. Stop trolling.

Twitch Emotes are as they sound... Emotes that are used on Twitch... Twitch being the streaming website, Emotes being symbols that appear after code words are typed... Look them up and you'll know more...

I'm assuming we feel it's neither a) easy to implement nor b) high priority (like the anti trolling features) - so I'm afraid it may sink to the bottom of the issue list which has gotten quite long now
Next big todos are:
- Adding multiple votes for servers, maps and captains
- AFK votekicks
- Fixing the sound code
- Archiving gathers to ensl.org
In between those todos I also implement small/easy requests - like Bauer's adding NSL links to players

Along with the multiple voting for capts etc. Perhaps lower the time, its like 3 minutes to vote for captains, if ppl don't vote in say 60 or so seconds then o well

Maybe for every vote that happens you could lower the timer for captain votes. Right now total vote count is 12, with a 120s timer? lower the timer by 10s? If you allow double votes then 5s per vote maybe.
Or just lower the timer to 40s~

Right now vote is 60 seconds.
I was going to cut the vote time by turnout, but this might not be so necessary with just 60s on the clock. But for regathers, the initial countdown will be reduced depending on the number of people who have already voted.

I see no reason to make the server list to choose bigger. I mean, the maplist is next to it so there is room.

Would it be nice to colour the bars with playername & lifeform icons according to skill?
It would show in a faster glance what those players say their skill is.
Of course its more important if the usually higher div folk who pick the teams agree its useful, but I do not see why not.
As for the gather ready music playing, perhaps if you mute/unmute it acts as a stop button rather then a mute button?
Join server button didnt work for me. Steam couldnt find the server. I assume its the master browser as it usually is.
May consider a 2nd link which connects directly, but ns2 needs to be closed for that.

Thinking about just generating this as some function of Hours + ELO + Gathers Played + Gathers Captained
And having more meaningful tiers like:
Rookie - New gather player (show ropes, explain don't complain, be nice, etc), typical last pick
Regular - Seasoned gatherer (knows how gathers works, listens) typical 3,4th pick
Veteran - High skill, typically ideal candidate for captain or as 1st or 2nd pick
I think the gradations of skill in the regular bracket can be gleaned by individual captains through experience as well as ELO, hours played, gathers played etc. So no need for explicit declarations of low/medium/high
And then a per user modifier if the rating is out of whack for some players
