We've noticed lately there has been an increase of toxicity, trolls, insults, and derailing of threads on the forums. This is not acceptable. Forums have their own rules: http://www.ensl.org/topics/640

Players must be aware of and follow these rules. These rules carry through official matches, gathers and on the website, including forums and comments on match pages. From now on, any message that might be considered toxic, offensive and so forth will be deleted and warnings will be given to those who post these things. Some trolling is allowed as long as it's in a positive and nice way. Messages that only contain trolling without constructive thoughts are likely to be deleted.

It's up to the admins to decide whether messages need to be deleted or not. This applies to all posts on the website, recruitment posts included. This recent bad behavior is not something that should be tolerated. With the start of Season 6 it isn't the public face we want to put forward for any curious newcomers who are only now discovering competitive NS2.

ensl consists of 10 people.

Why do you strive to make this place look like it's professional, the only use these forums have had the past years is for people to have a constant clash about their disagreements without taking any consideration to other responses, constructive or not. It's an endless pursuit of self-pride due to naive people that post identical responses without any change to the argument.

Just drop the act, be thankful these forums are even being used these days.

There's a difference between being professional and stupid. I'm used to troll sometimes, that's not the issue but being a dick with each other is more than stupid and professional or not, there's no point to allow this. Except providing you popcorn. Oh, and even if 250 people isn't a huge number of players, it's still worthwhile to show respect, wherever you are: forums, games, or real life.

This pretty much sums up the league/forums. You can't run a professional league when its most vocal participants won't/refuse to act with professionalism.

This was never a professional league, this has always been a fairly small community driven amateur league. We're here to have fun, nothing else. Drop the act.

Then you gotta explain me your reaction on the current div 1.
Contradicting oneself is an art and not everybody can do it. You can be very suprising.

There is a big difference between amateur and unfair matchmaking. I am not contradicting myself here, you're missing the points/confusing different points with one another.

Do you know the difference between trolling and being disrespectful toward people?
In fact, it's quite simple. Look at PASCOW, he's the troll master (I admit his german accent helps a lot). And look at the latest messages on the forums. Oh yes, it's true. Forums are more active than it ever was these past months, we even have a thread to insult you, would be greatly appreciated by players if we keep it up. In addition, people started to hate each other and to act badly toward other players and this publicly. You think it's fine? No problem? Of course this is not a professional game and neither a professional league. It's never been and never will be. Player Base is small and so is the community in a whole. Does it mean we gotta let everything go? disrespectful behavior and so forth? Oh wait, is that you?

swalk says
You should be ashamed of yourselves, this is a competitive league, not kindergarden.

You better think about what you say on the forums. I could easily make a new book with all your messages. And I'm pretty sure people would buy it because it's laughable as hell. A kindergarten. You wrote this lots of times but thanks to you we've found an easy comparison to what are the forums because of you, mainly. I'm happy that you lead the kindergarten. Must be proud.

Lamb trolling? It's fine, he makes me laugh personally and it's cool to know he's back even if his only aim is to troll. Hyste commenting pointless shit on the forums? What's the problem? As long as they do not act like assholes, we're good. I even miss PASCOW. Trolls are tolerated but being a douche isn't.

But now, it seems that the issue is quite easy to figure out. You're more or less the one who manages to make the general atmosphere in the NSL repulsive. And the other problem is that you're too blind to notice it. You wanna know how many people asked me to ban you? and probably how many asked Zefram to do so before? It's cool, you have ideas. But when your ideas aren't the ones admins pick, you start flaming us. Why? Because your choices are the best, ours are the worst? let's take an example. Div 1 thingy that you clearly stated that you hated. Most of the people are fine with it but you're not. Is it bad to follow the biggest number instead of the one of a few? It's called Democracy. 'Oh man, I think we have a problem. People's opinions prevail over ours and we forbid people to be assholes against others.' What have we done?

We know this is amateur, and not professional. Trolls are allowed and now that you want me to be honest. My official glance was about a few people but those that I know can change and are not a brake in our projects. You are. Since the moment you left your admin, you began to complain, to criticize and to be that a lot of people call: a dick. We've been very lenient. As the last admins were toward you. But there comes a time that "Whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap." You'll not be missed. We've always been opened to discussion. People post on the forums, they come to me on Steam and guess what: we talk. If you're not able to not denigrate other's work, you have nothing to do here. All we're doing is for the community. Hence my question: what's your aim? What are you trying to do?

One last thing. At least you make people laugh of you. Maybe we could officially make you 'Official Disturber'. Fits well with what you're used to do.

"Haters gonna hate". If I were you, I'd be tired to constantly throw your messages of hate toward others.

tl;dr: Thanks to you, I spent 20 minutes to write this (don't care it's raining outside)... But in a few words: Swalk, you're boring (nicest word I found, sorry :x).

lots of out of context bs

Competitive is not the same as professional. Even an amateur league can be competitive.

I've complained when the competitive enviornment have been disturbed by unfairness. I'm a sucker for fair play, that's my motive. It pisses me off when fair play isn't considered the most important factor in a competitive league and you've managed to make the TOP DIVISION in the world NON-competitive.

I don't get mad because you don't pick MY ideas, I get mad when you simply piss on competitive play. If "democracy" of the teams pisses on competitive fair play, honourable admins should overrule it or even better; not even let unfair setups be a choice that the teams can pick. Besides afaik, it was a 7v5 vote, really tight vote. You should really wake up and see my actions for what they really are.

I encourage every project that can bring more fair official games or help players in the community, I don't complain for the sake of complaining.

You complain that I am disrespectful towards unfair behavior in a competitive enviornment, but you directly encourage people to insult me, even in the same post. What is this for a kind of view? And you talk about me contradicting myself(though you were incorrect in that statement). I find this pretty hilarious.

I will never respect unfair "competitive" play. That is nothing personal against you or any other admin. I don't hold any personal grudges for your decisions, even if I strongly and vocally disagree with the decisions. Make a league based on fair play with strict ruling; you will see me naturally stop complaining and only my encouragement would remain.

As long as that isn't the case, you will be freed of my ideas and opinions. Because apparently I am an asshole for hating on unfair play. Have it your way.

Even though it hasn't been long since I started checking ensl again, nothing but legitimate arguments have risen up, it's an endless ego trip.
And I'll have you know I'm scoring 8% accuracy on publics and being kicked for -smurfing-, so expect me in premium div soon.

It is pretty much a joke troll thread, all in all. Serves no purpose other than insulting me.

If it doesn't have a straight purpose, if you think about it, it's more about you spamming every other thread about your viewmodel shenanigans that 99% of the people have already stopped caring about.
