I suggest you go to some good games like S6 Finals or S1 Finals. Look up the topic that was posted.

Match doesn't deserve the hate it gets. We tried a lot of stuff you rarely see, although unfortunately it didn't fully pay off. Does everyone really want to see the same strats every round?
The comm chair had one red bar of HP left, just needed a few more bites. It would've worked if people had followed the tactic instead of running around on the map and even trying to get frags which would have broken the strat (sherpAAAAAAAA).
Good cast though.

Excuses to being bad nonono not like this.
You didn't get our "hate" because you used unorthodox tactics but because your tactics focus on first two minutes. I have never understood people who say there are limited amount of good tactics in general. Just look our alien tactic in origin. I have never seen any other team using that tactic even if it's one my favorite tactics to counter heavy marine pressure.
On veil Kuitmo's job was the most important because he should have dropped a mc in hive, but couldn't duo crash. We would have had two gorges and a lerk with mc defending the hive at time you attack the hive. You can check the result of that firepower from origin alien round.
Peach was the best commander I ever had, but still it's quite funny how people think he doesn't make any mistakes. On origin marine round, he could have make beacon much faster, or order a marine come to back to base from biodome.

TrC I've never heard an excuse for how bad you are. Also Tane why didn't you say the minute Kuitmo had lagged out? Convenient that you didn't mention it until you had lost the round...

'Tane'You didn't get our "hate"
I was refering to the general sentiment amongst the people who watched it, not you as in the opposing team. I know very well that you got raged because Kuitmo lagged out. If you'd have told us early enough, we would've replayed, but you told us after the round was basically over. Expecting a replay by then is ridiculous, especially seeing as how the tactic we used is one-time use only.
'Tane'You can check the result of that firepower from origin alien round.
If you think Kuitmo was the only difference between veil and origin, you need to buy some glasses or something.

Yup. I wouldn't call our tactics good though, they were cheese tactics. What makes it special is that we were able to almost 2-2 against a team that should've 4-0ed us easily.

Peach was a bit late, but if people had followed the tactic properly it wouldn't have mattered. Biting the CC with five skulks takes less time than three marines building an obs and beaconing even under perfect conditions. We were supposed to be inside your base before you reached the RTs, but we ended up delaying almost until the RTs were down because some players didn't understand the tactic.
You gotta realize that this was a counter tactic. I knew exactly what Peach/sauna did every time there was an early base rush: You sacrifice your base for killing both alien RTs and then beacon. So, using an armory distraction, we kill the one structure you can't afford to sacrifice.

Most of the time there's an early rush, as a commander, I can easily drop the field obs and let marines kill both rts, and sometimes (when skulks do not aim for cc) the main hive RT before beaconing. Last time I did that we almost won, I just did some bad late game but we got all 3 nodes down (thus either hive or fade have to sacrifice) and beaconed while the CC was on 1 bar.
But oh I agree Peach while being an awesome commander hes still not flawless. In last semi-finals we went to double about three times, 3rd time getting a pg in terribad position. When we had 60 res in bank and AA up, we went to dbl, lost 2 hmgs (+sg?) and delayed jetpacks about 2-3mins. :)
Anyway, I think countering CC rush is rather easy as long as the commander acts swiftly. When I hear several skulks around the base, I immediately drop a field obs. Getting it up in time before CC goes down has hardly ever been an issue.
Now I'm sure blind appreciates this off-topic discussion. Let's bring back all the drama from past seasons and matches. Why is ns_lost in ensl??? Why do we have to play maps on US server??? Why don't teams get auto-forfeit for stuck-fades??? Why didn't Snowrolllers replay for plugin kicks??? Why did we play last 2 maps of v32 TeamEUvsUS on US server in 3am in the morning??? Bring the drama.

'jiriki'Anyway, I think countering CC rush is rather easy as long as the commander acts swiftly.
No doubt, but I guess I have to say this again: This was a counter tactic. Tailored to work under one specific set of circumstances. Against any other team or tactic it probably wouldn't stand a chance.
And really, when no-one's done it before, are you gonna go "oh no, my CC!" the second you hear a bunch of skulks in base? No way, you're going to think it's just another normal baserush where the skulks are taking down your normal buildings -- even more so because you see the armory is under attack. It's different now that commanders are aware of the possibility.
To counter it, you don't even need to beacon. Just relocate or drop a second CC in MS. The whole idea was to camouflage it so the commander doesn't realize what's going on until the CC is down and he's got skulks biting his face off.
'jiriki'Getting it up in time before CC goes down has hardly ever been an issue.
I've timed five skulks on the CC versus three marines building an obs and beaconing. The marines arrive in base several seconds after the CC is down.
