Hey Guys, i play on North American servers and i want to make a Frag video for my clan, although i'm not sure on the best way to capture the footage from the demos, i tried using Fraps but the video files are massive. Any help or suggestions would be great.
Anyway i heard you guys were good at making frag videos, and i've seen some of your work. |

| I believe best way to capture is via hl own command, I cant remember it thou. It takes lots of screenshots. Then combining them with a other program vegas? Files are going to be massive nothing can be done about that but you can compress em with h264 .mp4. | |

Record blabla.dem Then viewdemo/playdemo blabla.dem Then when it's playing, startmovie X (where X is the number of frames it's gonna capture e.g: startmovie 30) You need a lot of empty space on your hard drive and a pretty goood one in order to capture the frames as quick as possible. It'll look choppy while it's doing that, but it's because it's "screenshotting" every frame you see. After that, use virtualdub or any other program you know, to put those .bmp's together and make it look like a real video. And then edit ; ).
